This course introduces English students to the essential vocabulary often used in small talk. After you've mastered these new words, you'll put them into sentences and discover when and how to use grammatical rules like modals of obligation, conclusion, deduction, and 'tag questions' to enhance your abilities. This English course will increase your vocabulary with words and phrases needed for occasions when you need small talk. "Small talk" refers to casual and light conversation typically used to establish rapport or fill conversational gaps in social situations, often revolving around non-controversial topics such as weather, hobbies, or current events. There will be audio clips to listen to, articles to read, and videos to view to help you become more informed and proficient in English.
In the course's following two sections, you will learn some grammar rules using the vocabulary you have mastered in the first section. For example, you will learn how to use words such as 'must,' 'have to,' and 'can't' as modals of obligation, conclusions, and deductions, among other things. You will also learn to correctly ask 'tag questions,' the different intonations used, correct forms, and common mistakes.
